Stewarding Manager

Job Summary
Oversee and direct the stewarding operation across all outlets, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of kitchens, bars, and service areas. Assign and monitor daily cleaning checklists, ensure proper delivery of chemicals and supplies, and organize equipment for efficient operations. Maintain health code standards in compliance with local, state, and federal rules while serving as the point of contact for government inspections. Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures, train team members on processes, and manage staff for monthly deep cleans. Prepare schedules based on a 10-day forecast, assess working pace, and reallocate resources as needed. Walk the service floor to verify staff coverage and enforce health codes.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years related experience
- Ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations and provides a high level of service
- Good communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift/move/pull moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs
- Experience within a hotel/resort environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior lead or supervisory experience in a similar role
