Job Summary
Conduct all aspects of the cleaning process for the culinary team and heart of the house, including banquet items and kitchen equipment in accordance with standards. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand, then place clean items in storage areas. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition while stocking supplies at serving stations, cupboards, and trays. Sweep and scrub floors, clean garbage cans with water or steam, and sort trash into designated pickup areas. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or using hand trucks. Ensure cleanliness of all walk-in coolers, receiving, and staff breakroom areas. Work 24/7/360 with extended shifts and weekend coverage during peak season.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with fellow associates in a fast paced and often pressure filled environment. Must speak clearly
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure of tense/confrontational situations
- Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement as interpreted by the management
- 1-year previous luxury hotel operations experience preferred
