Steward

Steward role at Montage Hotels & Resorts in Laguna Beach, CA. Responsibilities include cleaning, transporting, and storing china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and equipment used in food and beverage operations; stocking restaurant and banquet kitchens; sanitizing and cleaning kitchen floors, recycling bins, and the recycle/trash room; restocking towels; assisting with transporting and retrieving food for events; operating commercial dishwashing equipment; ensuring items are sanitized and stored per health codes; monitoring water temperature, detergent levels, and equipment functionality; emptying trash and maintaining kitchen and dining areas; adhering to food safety guidelines and proper hygiene practices; and performing additional duties as needed to support guest experiences and team needs. Must-haves include the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, basic communication skills, and prior dishwashing/stewarding experience (hotel experience a plus).
