Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive sanitation of kitchen, dishwashing, and food service areas, including heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, and refrigeration units. Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure china, glassware, and silverware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, while maintaining a "Clean As You Go" policy throughout the facility. Manage waste disposal, recycling, and compost, and assist with retrieving ingredients and organizing supplies from storage as directed. Perform nightly cleaning of the Marketplace, Bar, and Kitchen, including floors, walls, ceilings, and countertops. Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and ensure overall guest satisfaction while following all safety protocols and sanitation regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required
- Follow company standards regarding uniform, grooming, and behavior
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold workplace professionalism
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health regulations (including DOH requirements)
- Must correctly answer a minimum of 70% of a 5-question quiz monthly regarding sanitation rules
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a kitchen or stewarding role is a plus
- It would be beneficial but not required to have a SERV Safe certified or hold a valid New York Food Handler's License
