Job Summary
Steward needed to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishware, utensils, and kitchen areas in a fast-paced 150-seat rooftop restaurant and bar. Duties include operating and cleaning the dish machine, washing and sorting china, glass, and silver, breaking down trays, managing trash, monitoring soap usage, and ensuring safe, sanitary conditions. Requires experience in dishwashing or cleaning in a restaurant setting, ability to follow instructions, work under pressure, handle chemicals safely, and physically stand for long periods while lifting up to 40 pounds. Must be reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and available for weekend/holiday shifts. Required Qualifications
- Dishwashing or cleaning experience in a restaurant operation
- Able to follow oral and written instructions
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work with cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Understanding of WHMIS
- Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration
- Able to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 40 pounds or more
