Job Summary
Sterilization Technician responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing dental instruments for procedures, maintaining sterilization documentation and ensuring sterility via biological indicators. Duties include operating and maintaining steam autoclaves, packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, monitoring spore testing for quality, and supporting the care team with setup, breakdown, and disinfection of the dental operatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must obtain CPR (BLS) certification and complete an Infection Control course
