Job Summary
Prepare parenteral products including IV, IVPB, and TPN solutions according to USP 797, 800, and 795 standards through ongoing competency documentation. Perform all clean room pharmacy technician tasks in both non-hazardous and hazardous environments while overseeing sterile products personnel training programs and quality assurance control systems. Maintain compliance with sterile products standards, address adverse events, and execute general pharmacy duties such as processing medication orders, stocking dispensing cabinets, and managing code cart trays under pharmacist supervision. Wisconsin pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification within six months are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent (GED)
- Pharmacy Technician experience
- hospital pharmacy experience
- sterile compounding experience
- Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
- PTCB certification
- knowledge of pharmacy
- working knowledge of drug names, doses, strengths, and formulations
- knowledge of and ability to maintain compliance with sterile products standards
- ability to successfully complete Pharmacy Technician competency programs through on-the-job exposure
Desired Qualifications
- hospital pharmacy experience including sterile compounding
