Job Summary
Clean, inspect, and test reusable medical equipment and surgical instruments for proper function and cleanliness. Assemble instrument trays according to established procedures and operate sterilization equipment to ensure proper sterilization of supplies. Identify defects in instrumentation, maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory, and provide timely sterile supply services to departments across the medical center. Uphold infection prevention standards and contribute to a safe surgical environment. This part-time role offers 40-hour biweekly scheduling with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and grow within the sterile processing field
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation
- Prior experience in sterile processing or healthcare support roles
- Current sterile processing certification (e.g., CRCST, CBSPD)
- Willingness to obtain certification within a designated timeframe
