Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary
Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment while assembling, wrapping, and sterilizing trays. Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency. Sort mismatched sets of instruments and restock, label, and maintain inventory levels. Perform environmental maintenance duties and verify equipment function, requisitioning repairs or replacements as needed. Recognize abnormal autoclave system functioning and notify appropriate personnel immediately. This role requires a High School diploma/GED and three years of Sterile Processing Technician experience, with national certification required within 90 days of hire. Basic Life Support certification is preferred. The position offers a monthly $43 stipend, HSA with match, and 401k after six months of service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Current national certification as a Sterile Processing Technician, Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or Surgical Instrument Processor, or obtained within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Three years of Sterile Processing Technician experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
