Sterile Processing Technician (SEIU), Full-time, Variable shift

Job Summary
Decontaminate and process surgical instruments, compile sets, count items, and record counts. Sterilize trays and basins using appropriate exposure times, preparing for immediate use when necessary. Maintain a clean environment by wiping counters, sinks, and autoclave exteriors, and perform weekly chamber cleaning. Perform daily diagnostic testing on sterilizing equipment, including biological indicators and endoscope processors. Evaluate instruments for function and safety, providing reprocessing for ancillary departments like the ER and Radiology. Assist with room turnover, terminal cleaning, and picking supplies for upcoming cases. Identify and log loaner instruments while maintaining biological incubator records. Provide technical services in the operating room, recovery, and central sterile as directed under RN supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Must acknowledge access to and read the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
- Must understand the contents of the E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Sterile Processing Technician certification
