Sterile Processing Technician

Pre-clean soiled instruments at the point of care, don and doff PPE, and soak instruments in enzymatic detergent. Scrub all instrument surfaces, utilize standard and ultrasonic washers per manufacturer recommendations, and complete final rinses with appropriate solutions. Inspect instruments for maintenance, package items for sterilization and autoclaving, and ensure biological tests are logged with follow-up on failures. Operate autoclave equipment per guidelines, test sterilizer functionality, and maintain storage areas while protecting package integrity. Transport instruments based on clean/dirty status and perform regular equipment testing.
