Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary
Process, sterilize, and document instruments for the surgery department and on-site clinics per AORN and AAMI standards. Decontaminate and assemble instrument sets and trays using count sheets, verifying instrument function and integrity while labeling items correctly. Communicate effectively with team members and move with urgency to ensure efficient instrumentation directly related to patient safety. Maintain familiarity with infection control standards and follow processes exactly to prioritize patient safety. Requires a Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential and one year of experience. Full-time evening shift with weekend rotation and holiday call.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year applicable experience
- Cert Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST)
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Diploma
- Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holiday calls
- Must be able to work evening shifts
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday
- Must be able to work in Overland Park, Kansas
- Must be able to work full time
