Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician responsible for effective cleaning, inspection, sterilization, maintenance and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. Collaborates with multiple departments to ensure supplies and instrumentation are available for surgical cases and other procedures requiring sterile supplies. Serves as a patient-safety advocate while upholding sterile processing standards. On-call, Day Schedule, Per-Diem role at Providence Portland Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training and Successful completion of a sterile processing course
- Or 1 year of healthcare experience
- Within 18 months of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
- Within 18 months of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Experience using personal computer and basic software programs
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of Sterile processing experience
- National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (NS-Cert)
- National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Experience using personal computer and basic software programs
