Job Summary
Sterile processing technician behind-the-scenes role focused on decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of reprocessed instruments, and distribution of equipment including case cart management. Performs monitoring, testing, and operation of sterilization equipment (washers, ultrasonics, endoscope preprocessors, autoclaves, low temperature sterilizers) and maintains records of procedures, inventory, and equipment upkeep. Requires meticulous attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to handle varied shifts; on-call may be required. Collaborative with a wide range of staff, vendors, and service lines to support patient care and regulatory compliance (DNV). Educational requirements per policy emphasize a high school diploma with preferred certifications in sterile processing; ongoing in-service education and adherence to safety standards are expected.
