Job Summary
Assemble, distribute, and store supplies and equipment while retrieving dirty items within the hospital. Perform general sterile processing services including decontamination and sterilization tasks using varied equipment. Manage and prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced environment. Maintain effective oral and written communication in English. Obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within one year of hire. Work flexible schedules including Mondays, Thursdays, holidays, and weekends. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Must obtain IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification within one year of hire
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to manage/prioritize/complete work assignments and other duties as assigned
- Must be able to work with varied decontamination and sterilization equipment
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job
- Must be able to work Mondays, Thursdays, holidays and weekends
