Sterile Processing Technician I

Role responsibilities include decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing and distributing surgical instruments and equipment; operate instrument washers and sterilizers (steam, Pre-Vac, ethylene oxide, Steris, Sterrad); identify instruments (over 2000 instruments, 500 trays) and proper assembly; maintain inventory using Epic OpTime; ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards; assist with quality assurance, document procedures, and training of new employees; full-time, 2nd shift at Edgewood Hospital in the Sterile Processing department; healthcare environment with emphasis on accuracy, cleanliness, and teamwork.
