Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary
Sterile processing technician responsible for decontamination, cleaning, packaging, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments and supplies per ANSI/AAMI, APIC, AORN, and CMS guidelines. Maintains equipment, records of testing and procedures, and supports an inter-professional culture with teamwork and ongoing education. Must adhere to safety protocols, participate in problem-solving, and be able to respond to calls within 45 minutes. Vaccinations are required; respirator and fit testing are required for exposure risk. Located at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, OK.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English
- Basic computer skills including email and Electronic Health Record tools
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to adapt procedures and equipment to meet needs
- Must be able to take call and respond within 45 minutes
- Vaccinations required per DRH policy
- Training or experience with decontamination and sterilization processes (implied by responsibilities)
