Job Summary
Conduct daily decontamination, inspect instruments, and perform leak tests on flexible endoscopes per manufacturer specifications and hospital policy. Assemble instrument sets and specialty items for surgical cases while maintaining biological and sterilization records for steam, Steris, and Sterrad machines. Operate sterilization equipment to sterilize instruments and organize case carts according to the daily schedule to comply with surgery start times. Assist personnel in locating instrumentation and support the orientation process for new employees. This role requires a Certified and Registered Central Service Technician within 24 months, with weekend coverage and Monday through Friday hours from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate General Studies
- High School GED General Studies
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech
