Job Summary
Performs decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment in the Surgery Department at Avita Ontario Hospital, with locations in Bucyrus, Ontario, and Galion. Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment, and performing other duties as assigned. Preferred knowledge of medical terminology and experience in cleaning/sterilizing instruments and prior healthcare facility experience in the Sterile Prep Department. CRCST certification (or completion within six months of hire) required.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- CRCST Certification - Certified Registered Central Service Technician or obtained within six months of hire.
