Job Summary
Senior Sterile Processing Technician responsible for assembling case carts and preparing instruments for use; serves as a technical resource on processing, sterilization, and assembly to Sterile Processing Technicians; adheres to HIPAA, OSHA, and TJC guidelines; may rotate shifts including weekends and holidays; may lead in supervisor's absence; requires certification (CRCST/CSPDT/CST/TS-C/CORST) and two+ years of experience; education requirement is a High School diploma or equivalent; IA HCSMM certification prep is a listed preference.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Central Sterilization Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Surgical Tech certification CST or TS-C or CORST
- Two (2) or more years previous work experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or prior experience as a Surgical Technician
- High School Graduate or equivalent
