Sterile Processing Tech, PRN

Performs cleaning, packaging, sterilizing, and storage of supplies and instruments in the sterile processing area. Operates sterilizers and ultrasonic washer, conducts biological monitoring, maintains inventory and accurate records, and ensures proper labeling with expiration dates. Inspects instruments for damage, prepares trays per policy, wraps and documents items, and updates instrument ray inventory and routine preference cards. Maintains and retrieves supplies to support continuous sterile processing operations; adheres to all sterilization policies and procedures and completes weekly inspections of sterile items. Physical requirements include lifting over 20 pounds, pushing/pulling over 25 pounds, and standing/walking for extended periods in a healthcare facility.
