Job Summary
Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instruments and medical equipment following CBSPD, AAMI, and HSPA standards. Operates washer-disinfector racks, reads sterilization parameters, and records chemical and biological test results. Manages inventory, restocks sterile storage areas, and fills operating room case cart requisitions for scheduled, add-on, and STAT cases. Maintains departmental equipment and ensures work areas comply with The Department of Health, TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards. Works overnight Monday through Friday (11 PM–7:30 AM) with rotating holiday and weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/CRCST
