Job Summary
Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instruments and medical equipment following CBSPD, AAMI, and HSPA standards. Operates washer-disinfector racks, reads sterilization parameters, and records chemical and biological test results. Manages inventory, restocks sterile storage areas, and fills operating room case cart requisitions for scheduled, add-on, and STAT cases. Maintains assigned work areas, provides asset management support for surgical trays, and assists with intern orientation. Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of departmental sterilization equipment. Works evening shifts from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/CRCST required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Evening shift- 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM Monday through Friday, with weekend and holiday rotation
