Job Summary
Sterile Processing Tech responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, sterilizing, and distributing medical and surgical instrumentation. Follows the Sterile Processing cycle (Decontam>Inspect>Assembly>Package>Sterilize>Inspect>Store>Inspect>Dispense); performs record-keeping across processing steps; orientation includes a 90-day program with an SPD 101 class and a preceptor; site may involve 40-90 surgical cases and requires wearing surgical attire. Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent and CSPM or IAHCSMM certification within 1.5 years. Shift is evenings, 3:00pm–11:30pm, at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI; benefits package offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- CBSPD Certified in Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) or IAHCSMM Registered Central Services Technician, Certified within 1 year and 6 months Required
