Sterile Processing Team Lead - Day Shift

Job Summary
Oversee the care, maintenance, and processing of instrumentation in the decontamination area; manage the preparation/packaging and delivery of all case carts for operating rooms and related departments; oversee delivery and processing of loaner implant and instrument trays; update instrument-tracking systems as needed. Responsibilities include coordinating with Operating Room and SPD staff, scheduling and assigning shift duties, coaching staff in instrumentation/ equipment practices, and driving workflow initiatives to improve productivity. Responsible for audits to ensure quality service, staff development through training and mentorship, serving as back-up to supervisor, and ensuring QA/PI compliance and safety standards in line with Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN, and IAHCSMM guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED (Required)
- IAHCSMM certification or obtain certification within 90 days
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of surgical procedures
- Knowledge of sterilization standards and sterile processing technique
- 2+ years of sterile Processing Experience
