Sterile Processing Service Line Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, quality assurance, and inventory management of instrumentation for assigned surgical specialties. Serve as the subject matter expert for designated service lines, ensuring instrument readiness, standardization, and collaboration with surgeons, Operating Room staff, vendors, and Sterile Processing leadership. Promote patient safety by ensuring all specialty instrumentation is complete, functional, sterile, and available to support scheduled and emergency surgical procedures. Requires a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification, minimum of three years of Sterile Processing experience, and demonstrated competency with specialty surgical instrumentation.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum of three years of Sterile Processing experience
- Demonstrated competency with specialty surgical instrumentation
- Experience with instrument tracking software
- Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology, and infection prevention practices
- Knowledge of instrument names, functions, and specialty sets
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation and recordkeeping

- Leadership or Lead Technician experience
- Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties
- Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field
- Advanced knowledge of assigned service line instrumentation
- Thorough understanding of sterilization principles and infection prevention
- Knowledge of AAMI ST79 standards, manufacturer IFUs, and hospital policies
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
