Job Summary
Performs decontamination, processing, high-level disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments; inspects, tests and assembles instruments; maintains documentation in logs or computer systems; prioritizes instrumentation for processing, answers telephones and dispatches instrumentation, equipment and supplies; follows Manufacturer's Instructions for Use in Decontamination, Processing, High Level Disinfection and Sterilization and adheres to Department and Mercy policies; operates required equipment and wears PPE; collaborates with staff across disciplines to ensure instrument readiness and safety; location: Mercy Orthopedic Hospital Ozark, MO; employment type: PRN/Part-Time; supports Mercy's mission and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- None certifications required
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must interact with staff and co-workers across a diverse range of disciplines
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must be able to operate equipment
