Sterile Processing Instrument Coordinator

Job Summary
Order all instrumentation for SPD departments including Bell, Cambridge, ICC, Specialty Surgery, and CVOR. Maintain accurate instrument inventory spreadsheets and create needs lists for trays and instruments. Update count sheets, missing instrument lists, and the Sonar database to ensure data integrity. Coordinate vendor check-in/out, manage consignment trays, and track instrument repairs and scope services. Monitor instrument spend, review costs, and provide input on quality trends and cost-saving initiatives. Generate monthly and quarterly reports on instrument needs and opportunities. Provide training and staff updates on tracking systems during huddles and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate OR General Educational Development Graduate
- Sterile Processing Certification program or internship
- 2 or more years experience in Sterile Processing
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department

Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree OR Bachelors Degree
- 1 or more years experience in Instrument Coordination
- 1 or more years experience in a leadership role
- Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
