Job Summary
Coordinate shift operations and services for the sterile processing department, overseeing staff assignments for processing, distributing sterile materials, and managing case carts. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems while supervising surgical instruments and quality control. Lead staff development through training, performance management, and team building, including interviewing applicants, conducting annual appraisals, and handling disciplinary actions. Maintain internal visibility in department supervision while supporting the department manager with human resources planning.
Required Qualifications
- Lift and carry 25 lbs
- frequent sitting/standing
- frequent keyboard use
- patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR

- leads a staff
