Job Summary
Clean and assemble instrument trays for sterilization, sort and wrap packages, and label instruments and supplies. Sterilize supplies via autoclave following manufacturer and facility standards while monitoring equipment for temperature and malfunctions. Maintain appropriate logs to meet regulatory requirements, check sterile items for expiration dates, and rotate stock. Make substitutions for damaged instruments and report lost items or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Certification in sterile processing
- 2 years' experience as a sterile processing technician
- Ability to work within the team
- Physical stamina required
- Good communication skills
