Job Summary
Review daily recording charts and biological test results from sterilizers, then document findings accurately. Transport and process surgical instruments strictly according to AORN standards, including assembling OR instrumentation trays and handling heavy carts. Maintain knowledge of hospital supplies and sterilization protocols while utilizing minor computer skills for chart management. This role supports the hospital's Level I Trauma Center and 100,000+ annual patient care volume within a Catholic Health teaching facility. CRCST certification is required for this position.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of hospital supplies, OR/CSR instrumentation, sterilization
- CRCST certification
- Able to transport heavy OR instrumentation carts, assemble OR instrumentation tray
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as a team
- Able to work independently
- Minor computer skills
