Stepdown Registered Nurse

Provides leadership facilitating the delivery of professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Administers prescribed medications, monitors therapeutic response, and responds to adverse events. Delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by promptly assessing patient conditions on admission and each shift, performing required procedures, and maintaining thorough documentation. Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex terminology for full understanding.
