Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within MICU guidelines. Promote patient and family-centered care by educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences and cultural values. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development.
