Job Summary
Delivers STEM-oriented instruction to K-5 students through Project-Based Learning methods, utilizing hands-on, exploratory practices and maker space activities to solve problems. Establishes clear objectives for lessons and projects while employing varied instructional techniques to guide learning toward academic goals. Assesses student accomplishments regularly and maintains the STEM classroom and robotics programs in a safe, orderly environment. Collaborates with the principal to implement the Common Core State Standards, add STEM resources, and align initiatives with the school's Renewal Plan. Implements best practices for the district's 1:1 technology initiative. Requires a valid teaching license and three years of experience. Ten-month employment.
