Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous, project-based lessons for Grades 5-8 students while utilizing technology to maximize engagement. Lead learners in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through hands-on instruction. Counsel students as an Advisor, communicate progress to parents and colleagues, and foster partnerships with the community to support student success. Promote high expectations and professional growth within a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Minimum of three years experience as a middle or high school teacher
- NC Professional Educator's License
- Must be eligible to obtain license within 3 years
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher
- Possess a deep commitment to serve the needs of students and families who are first generation college goers and those typically underrepresented in postsecondary education and STEM fields
