Job Summary
Mentors deliver live online instruction for six synchronous classes, lead virtual classrooms of 20–40 students, implement The Williamsburg Curriculum with fidelity, provide timely feedback and academic support, and maintain clear communication with students and families. The role requires strong instructional leadership and organization, participation in professional development, and collaboration to support student growth. Responsibilities include planning lessons aligned to syllabus objectives, preparing instructional materials, ensuring Canvas course accuracy each semester, grading and providing detailed feedback within 4 days, monitoring attendance and engagement, offering targeted interventions and weekly office hours, and contributing to curriculum improvements while upholding the organization’s Culture of Belonging, Growth, and Right Action.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a subject area
- Current teaching license in the subject area
- Ability to instruct High School STEM subjects including Physics
- Quick learner with technology, proficient in email, file management, and electronic reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and solutions-oriented
- Alignment with Williamsburg Learning’s mission/values
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
