Job Summary
Conduct steelmaking operations including Basic Oxygen, Electric Arc Furnace, and Continuous Casting processes to produce slabs meeting customer specifications. Support Steelmaking Services by managing supplies such as scrap, iron, fluxes, and alloys using mobile equipment like overhead cranes and forklifts. Perform daily problem-solving, setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of production machinery while adhering to strict safety protocols in a physically demanding environment. Work rotating 12-hour shifts with overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate (GED)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in Overhead/Remote Crane Operator
- Experience in Heavy Equipment Operator
- Experience within the Canadian Forces
- Steel Industry experience
- Construction experience
- Bricklaying experience
- Welding experience
- Shipping and Receiving experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn

- Ability to take on new responsibilities
