Job Summary
Execute work orders, operate machinery including roll formers, Press Brake, and forklifts, and package, label, and prepare steel products for shipment. Maintain accurate inventory counts, troubleshoot and repair shop equipment, and ensure product quality while adhering to all safety protocols and production standards. Work in multiple plant areas, adapt to changing production needs, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires forklift certification provided after 90 days, previous roll forming experience preferred, and ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
Required Qualifications
- Steel Plant and roll forming experience preferred
- General knowledge of building materials and building processes
- Forklift certification with 90 days of employment required provided by employer
- Previous experience with metal building component manufacturing is preferred
- Team oriented, dependable work ethic with positive attitude
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Ability to perform tasks accurately, effectively, and on time
- Must be able to multitask and be detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow both verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to meet requirements even in heavy workload or dynamic environments and seasonal peaks
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
- Must be able to work long hours as needed
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to regularly and repeatedly lift various steel products in a production line
