Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and repair equipment at customer sites while learning to operate and apply refractory products within the steel mill. Complete all required paperwork, track data, and summarize daily events. Actively participate in the safety and Operational Excellence program. Work independently, follow instructions, and lift up to 50 pounds in a team environment. Be available for after-hour service calls and maintain a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting skills
- Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English
- Mechanical aptitude
- Time management
- Ability to schedule and prioritize multiple tasks
- Reliable and dependable employee
- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to withstand the physical pressures of constant standing, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, sitting, extremes of hot and cold, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling heavy objects
- Conscientious and with the sense of a pride of workmanship to meet our customer's high expectations
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle at all times
- Dependability and punctuality
- Willingness to be available for after hour service calls
