Steel Mill Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on steel-making equipment, including iron and steel ladles, tundishes, and specialized machinery like lasers and wire feeders. Operate as a turn leader to supervise work teams during shifts, manage consumable inventory, and complete required turn paperwork and field trial reports. Respond to emergency equipment call outs, assist in temporary fill-in work at other shops, and provide feedback on new product trials to managers. Maintain strict safety compliance, participate in 5S and TPM initiatives, and support new employee training and orientation. This safety-sensitive role requires weekly travel to various mill locations, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Progressive experience in Service positions
