Job Summary
Structural Steel Fitter/Fabricator responsible for reading blueprints and weld symbols, fitting and assembling structural steel components such as beams, columns, stair systems, and handrails, preparing assemblies for welding with proper fit-up and tack welding; operate fabrication equipment (band saws, ironworkers, grinders, plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches) and inspect alignment and fit to meet quality standards; move materials using overhead cranes and rigging, maintain a safe, organized work area, and support production goals on 2nd shift.
