Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC fabrication equipment according to production requirements. Adjust machine parameters to maximize efficiency, quality, and accuracy. Verify material dimensions and specifications before processing. Select appropriate stock materials based on work orders and production drawings. Transfer and mark required information onto materials and finished components. Conduct routine inspections to ensure products meet specifications. Maintain accurate production records, material usage logs, and operational documentation. Perform basic preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues. Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized work area. Handle materials manually and with lifting equipment as required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience operating CNC plasma tables or CNC sawing, drilling, cutting, or fabrication equipment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, symbols, and production notes preferred
- Proficient in reading a tape measure with accuracy to 1/16 inch
- Strong basic math skills
- Experience operating overhead cranes and material handling systems
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to work in both hot and cold industrial environments
- Experience with Tekla PowerFab is a plus
