Steamfitter/Pipefitter

Job Summary
Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, and industrial processing. Join pipe using threaded, soldered, or brazed methods and secure components with clamps and hangers. Test systems for leaks by pressurizing pipes and monitor gauges. Select appropriate pipe sizes and materials per specifications, then plan tools, equipment, and materials for assigned tasks. Coordinate with the Mechanical Construction Staff for scheduled and emergency service responses. Comply with all paperwork requirements including daily time reporting, service reports, material checkouts, and job safety analyses. Attend requested training programs and assist in monitoring company safety policies to ensure a safe workplace. Work in shop or field locations, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours as needed for immediate customer mobilization.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma / GED
- (1) or more years of related experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75-80 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and on overhead structures and scaffolds
- Must be able to read / hear / write / spell / type and speak English clearly
- Must be able to understand and follow written instructions
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and written
- Must be able to listen effectively
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Welding education or certifications preferred
