Job Summary
Support the design, analysis, and evaluation of steampath components for steam turbine CM&U projects under guidance from more experienced engineers. Assist in the development and delivery of steampath solutions for steam turbine applications, with guidance from more experienced engineers. Contribute to cross-functional project execution and engineering decisions, documenting technical work clearly and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and design practices. Build technical knowledge in steampath engineering principles, steam turbine components, and applicable engineering tools and methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree for outside-the-USA roles (not applicable to USA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Internship, co-op, research, or project experience related to steampath equipment, turbomachinery, thermal systems, or mechanical design is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn established engineering processes, tools, and standards
- Ability to document, plan, and execute assigned tasks with guidance
- Interest in steam turbines, steampath components, and power generation technology
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn from experienced engineers
