Job Summary
STEAM Teacher to lead a middle school class, design instruction and learning objectives, create lesson plans, and assess student progress throughout the year. Responsibilities include ensuring student safety and well-being, maintaining detailed documentation (grading, behavior, attendance, etc.), communicating proactively with administration, colleagues, and parents regarding student engagement and performance, and employing a range of instructional methods and learning techniques to support individuals and groups.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in subject matter
- Teaching credential preferred
- Minimum of three years teaching
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, administration and parents
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing
- Strong understanding of best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Problem solving
