Job Summary
Plan, implement, and supervise high-quality after-school STEAM and recreational programs for youth at the Opportunity Drive location in Wichita, KS, with additional site work in Maize and Derby. Create a safe, inclusive environment that fosters positive youth development while providing mentorship, behavior support, and de-escalation. Monitor program quality, maintain accurate records, and adapt activities to diverse member needs. Contribute to staff meetings, support organization-wide events, and perform light administrative duties. Operate a Club vehicle as needed. Maintain knowledge of safety protocols, including emergency and lockdown procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License with little or no violations
- Pass background check and complete fingerprinting
- Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to walk regularly
- Must be able to bend regularly
- Must be able to reach regularly
- Must be able to stretch regularly
- Must be able to hear and understand speech at normal levels regularly
- Must be able to speak in an audible tone so others may understand clearly regularly
- Must be able to see regularly
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand motions regularly
- Must be able to push/pull/lift/carry up to 5 pounds regularly
- Must be able to perform stationary work occasionally
- Must be able to use phones regularly
- Must be able to use iPads regularly
- Must be able to use two-way radios regularly
- Must be able to use kitchen equipment occasionally
- Must be able to use audio visual equipment occasionally
- Must be able to use copy/scanner occasionally
- Must be able to use hand tools occasionally
- Must be able to work indoors regularly
- Must be able to work outdoors regularly
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions regularly
- Must be able to work with a team regularly
- Must be able to work independently regularly
- Must be able to work in fast paced and noisy conditions regularly
