STEAM Art Teacher - Part Time

Job Summary
Lead art lessons with pre-made plans, create new lesson plans, and teach them to student groups of up to 12. Track student progress and present information to parents while reinforcing classroom rules and Full STEAM Ahead expectations. Manage students outside the classroom during lunch breaks and "Free Explore" sessions. Arrive at 2:00 pm for setup and organization on school days, then drive a 15-passenger STEAM van to pick up students from specified schools. Assist with end-of-day cleanup, organization, and student check-in/out. Maintain art classroom equipment and inventory. This part-time role supports our After School Program, Mini Camps on school breaks, and Full Day Summer Camps.
Required Qualifications
- passionate, energetic individual
- experience working with children in small and large groups in an educational setting
- Must have a clean driving record
- Strong art skills
- experience working with groups of children
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Mixed media art experience
- K-8 teaching experience
- Classroom management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
