Statutory Accounting specialist

Job Summary
Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and corporate policies. Prepare and review annual statutory financial statements for multiple legal entities under various local accounting standards, including UK GAAP, German GAAP, and French GAAP. Review local accounting entries impacting statutory ledgers, including dividends, capital injections, impairments, and intercompany transactions. Support statutory reserves, disclosures, and local-to-US GAAP reconciliations during monthly and quarterly close activities. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and the company's global internal control framework. Coordinate year-end statutory audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors. Respond to audit requests and ensure timely completion of statutory audit deliverables. Support ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and process improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience within a multinational company or Shared Services environment
- Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and at least one local accounting standard (such as UK GAAP, HGB, or French GAAP)
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Communication level Italian or French language knowledge
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced international environment

- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
