Job Summary
Manual QA / Product Tester needed for the Status app on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). Responsibilities include exploratory testing of existing features, testing new features before release, retesting fixes in release builds, reproducing bugs with steps and evidence (screenshots, screen recordings, device information), and documenting results. Collaborates with QA automation engineers to extend automation where relevant, and verifies product pages (Apple App Store, Google Play) for issues. Reviews product requirements from a user perspective, flags unclear or confusing flows, and documents how features work based on hands-on exploration. Strong candidates will have experience with manual QA or app testing, be a strong mobile messenger app user, and possess clear written communication. Nice-to-have experience includes testing across iOS, Android, desktop, or web, familiarity with bug-tracking tools, and interest in crypto wallets or privacy-focused products. Compensation is 1000 USD per month for 20 hours weekly, payable in fiat/crypto, with remote worldwide locations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with manual QA, product testing, or app testing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies and bugs
- Comfort documenting issues in a structured way
- Willingness to test features from the perspective of real users
- Experience testing iOS, Android, desktop, or web applications (nice to have)
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools or release testing processes (nice to have)
