Job Summary
Design computational statistics problems that require Python programming (Numpy, SciPy, Sympy) and are computationally intensive. Create problems that can’t be solved manually within days/weeks, covering areas such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis. Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications, verify solutions with Python, and document problem statements with verified correct answers. This is a part-time, project-based opportunity with remote work options and an emphasis on statistical expertise, Python proficiency, and formal certifications as an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Statistics or related fields
- Python proficiency (Numpy, SciPy, SymPy, Pandas)
- 2+ years of professional experience (applied, research, or teaching)
- Strong written English (C1+)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) are advantageous
